I am going to fill the holes that are though the cavitation plate. And was wondering if anybody out there has done this before. I was going to use epoxy. Any ideas?

What I did was put nylon automotive interior trim fasteners in the holes from he bottom and then filled the top with epoxy to hold them in.

I used JB Weld also (smallest kit - $6) to fill holes. Lowered drive so plate was horizontal, used masking tape on underside and filled with the JB WELD compound (don't over fill. Sanded and painted. Total time spent about 25 minutes.

I've also used jb weld, but first I touched the holes with a larger drill so that the holes weren't straight through (hard to explain), if you can imagine a small start of a countersink hole on both sides that's what I did. Then finished off with bondo/spot putty, primed and painted.

HTH's

DougV>
