Filling small holes from snaps?

I am going to drill out all the rivets that hold the snaps from the old cover on top of the cap out. Now to fill the holes should I mix up some PB or just buy the bondo fiberglass resin? The Bondo resin is polyester but that should not matter. The holes should be no bigger than 1/4 inch.

Okay this is what I suggest Bondo Marine stick epoxy. You tear off a chunk and work it with your fingers and press it into the holes. It dries off white/super light gray in color. Dries fast and is cheap too.

Many hardware stores carry it.

Paint....yes...... if you use gel coat I do not think Gel coat will stick.
