Filter Fuel

Need some help, I do not think my 1987 Mercury 35hp motor has a filer fuel,How would I put a inline fuel filer on it, what kind ,should I used

go to mercurypartsexpress.com look up your engine, an see if it has one. you need the know the fuel flow rate to put the proper filter on. if i'm spending for a filter, i'd use a filter/water separator.
