I took my prop to the shop to get it pitched up, he said the prop was in fair condition, and should be ok for me rig ( 17.5' bass fiberglass bass boat with 115 hp merc all 1976) the cav plate is about 1" high on the boat, I'm turning at about 6000 rpms, hoel shot is real sluggish, tope end speed is about 40 mphs.. where else should I look, any way I can test and see if my hub is spun or no installed properly? what do I do??
I found out the prop is pitched at 21, but the local prop guy says it looked liek some one has worked is and took s little off of the negative edge of the blades..
thanks,
thomas

Man that sounds like a lot of RPM's for a 21 pitch prop. If you are turning 6000 with a 21, you may want to move up to a 23. If you are in Plano, I could lend you a buffet of props up to 25 too see which one works best. :D :D :D
