So, I refinished a boat last summer, as far as we know it's a 1971 Las Vegas Stardust tri hull with a mercruiser 120 (2.5 liters?). Having spent the summer on the lake, I've got a few questions hopefully you all can help me with.

At WOT, with a 4 people and a full tank, it's running at around 3600/3800 rpm's(is this the ideal range?), and 32-35 mph. I can't read the numbers on the old aluminum prop, so I don't know where to begin shopping for a new SS prop (is it even worth the cost?) Also, is there anything to be gained by switching to electric ignition?

I wish I would have found this page when I was in the thick of the restoration process, lots of great info on here.

I can't answer your prop questions, but she sure looks a lot better than what you started with. Nice job!
