Well, finally pulled the trigger on the 2005 voyager tritoon, and I sure am glad I did! We did the sea trial yesterday on Lake Lavon in DFW on rolling 3' swells and it was the smoothest boat I have ever been on! Ran 41 with the wind at our backs and 35 right into it. There must have been 20mph winds yesterday, so it was pretty exciting! Not the greatest layout, but I think it will work for quite some time. There are five fishing seats, two lounges, a little short couch, and a changing room without the fabric or bar. All in all, it should be a great boat.

You will love it! When you get some flat water with no wind you should be able to hit 45-47 with that 225hp on there I can get 40 with my 150 and me on our 22' Bennington We got the fish and fun boat with benches up front my wife talked me into it glad now she did but either way we would have been happy you will have hours of fun! Its a great looking boat! Lets just hope obama doesnt get his wish of $8 a gallon gas:(

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!

I've been reading up on these boats a lot and I'm thinking I need to raise the motor up a few inches. The PO had a 21p prop on it that he claimed would do 52mph. Normally, I wouldn't believe it. But he gave me a check for $300 to replace the prop so I'm thinking I might try it out? I keep hoping the keystone will get done and finally drop the price of gas, but it just doesn't look like that is happening any time soon!

Congrats on the new rig, I know you guys will love it. 52 mph may be a bit optimistic, but you never know. I can hit 48-49 mph w/a 14.25 x 19 right at 6000 rpm. Good luck !!!

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!

My daughter and her friends wanted to have a picnic on it in the driveway. I threw up the chairs and table so they would have somewhere to eat. They're all pretty excited to get it out and the water and really start enjoying it!
