I finally splahed my boat for this season. All of my paranoid thoughts of the extremely cold winter and engine damage are out the window. The boat started up and ran great. Oil level was fine and clean with no sign of water. I tried to do a top speed check before I installed my smart tabs. I clocked it at 49 mph gps. This is in a Tahoe Q4 4.3L 190. Does this sound right?
I forgot to look at the tach to make sure I was in the specified rpm
. The one problem I did have was with the septh finder. It would read great at slow speeds but loose it once on plane. I reinstalled it this spring with epoxy in the same spot it came from the dealer. They used a silicone. This is a in hull puck transducer. Is there a way to remove epoxy:redface:
Anyways it was a great hour on the water and I am itching to get out again soon.
