Finding an alternative spark plug....

Trying to find other alternatives to Champion's L77JC4. I can find the same standard plug style, but not in any improved electrode design or how to determine different heat ranges. Reading some of the archives here on this forum, it might be advantageous to use a hotter plug for trolling.

Factory only offered 2 plugs for that model...L76V surface gaps and Ql77jC4 which is a gap plug and should due fine for trolling..

You dont say what engine, but an NGK B7HS (or B7HS -10 re-gapped to 0.030")is the equivalent

B6HS is the next hotter grade.

BUT do not use resistor plug s such as BR7HS with OMC cd ignition. If you need suppressed plugs they must be inductively suppressed eg QL77JC4 or NGK BZ7HS or BZ6HS
