After using https://webapps.brunswick.com/literature/literatureSearch.do to find the engine listed from the serial number on the engine it shows my Mercruiser 5.7L V8 350 CID as a 1992. However looking at used OEM Mercruiser service repair manuals I'm finding manual #17 only lists 1993-1997. The Mercruiser manuals that list year 92 do not list my engine from what I can tell. Is it safe to assume manual #17 is the correct one to use? The engine is partially rebuilt on a 92 Bayliner. Thanks.
