I am trying to find info on a Mercury 70HP with serial number 0B228735. Was told it was a 1990 but one site said 1987. Was told premix 50:1 but another site said ELPTO. So confused as all heck now. Attached a pic that was sent to me of it if it helps.

The motor is an 1987 I believe it says oil injection right on it right after the 70. It may have been taken off you will need to find out. It may also have a sight glass for the oil on the front of the hood to show the level in the tank.
If it had a installed oil injection system there will be a oil tank under the cowling, with a sight glass tube. More likely it had a remote oil tank and pump....these were troublesome units and many owners removed them and premixed the fuel.
