I have a 1990 Mercury 100hp outboard that needs some parts, fuel line stuff, nothing crazy, and I have no idea how to order them without seeing their location and getting a part number or something along those lines. Does anyone know where I might find something like that?

As far as the motor goes, its a 4cyl, has the onboard oil tank that self-mixes (2 stroke), and the first thing I am looking for is a small, brass, fuel line elbow that comes off of the powerhead and connects to a rubber fuel line. One end of it broke, and in order to keep it running during a tune-up, I have to pinch the **** out of it to keep fuel feeding into it. Like I said, I just need a few cheap fixes, but no idea what some of the parts are actually called, or what any of the part names are.
I also need to see if I can use this reference to trace how the oil tank is supposed to be hooked up. The previous owner bypassed the tank when I different connection broke. I need to replace that connection as well and get it connected the way it was intended.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried asking on the local CL listings for anyone who might have a book on this, but no luck. Thought I would check with you guys to see if anyone had a good reference or a PDF I could access that might assist me. Kinda of a "Parts for Dummies" book.

I had the best luck figuring out what i needed going to http://www.mercurypartsexpress.com, its through the mercury site. Theres an option to search using your S/N which should bring up a complete breakdown of your motor and a parts list for each section. You can also get motor specific oem manuals and parts books from the same site.

I checked it out with my serial, Im pretty sure I found what I needed, and I think the oil injection diagram will help me figure out what got cut off or plugged for the bypass. Many thanks!

Your s/n actually comes up as:

100 100 4-cyl 0B209468 0C099999 1988 USA

From here:

http://www.marinshopen.se/Motorer/O...rcury2takt4cyl100125hp/tabid/488/Default.aspx

If you don't have the service manual:

http://1manual.com/Mercury manuals/Service Manual PDFs/TwoStroke/13645_2/cover.pdf

You must have Adobe Acrobat reader installed to use this manual. If you scroll down to the lower part of the opening page, you will see the various engine components in red. Click on the one you want and when the first page opens, click on the "Save As" icon at the top LH corner of the page and you can save it to your computer.

I'll run out to the storage lot tomorrow and double check it then. I have the above s/n that I listed titled as a 1990 100hp. Better go check what's printed on the motor itself. Good chance Virginia screwed up the transfer paperwork. It wasnt my handwriting, I typed it. Then I did a side by side comparison with the paperwork in one hand and the outboard next to the other. Sigh. Thanks for the cross-reference, I will give you results to my findings tomorrow. Might even post a picture just to be perfectly clear. But I cant argue with you, as the diagrams from Bone's site look very identical to what I have on my pontoon.
