I have a 1990 Mercury 100hp outboard that needs some parts, fuel line stuff, nothing crazy, and I have no idea how to order them without seeing their location and getting a part number or something along those lines. Does anyone know where I might find something like that?
As far as the motor goes, its a 4cyl, has the onboard oil tank that self-mixes (2 stroke), and the first thing I am looking for is a small, brass, fuel line elbow that comes off of the powerhead and connects to a rubber fuel line. One end of it broke, and in order to keep it running during a tune-up, I have to pinch the **** out of it to keep fuel feeding into it. Like I said, I just need a few cheap fixes, but no idea what some of the parts are actually called, or what any of the part names are.
I also need to see if I can use this reference to trace how the oil tank is supposed to be hooked up. The previous owner bypassed the tank when I different connection broke. I need to replace that connection as well and get it connected the way it was intended.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried asking on the local CL listings for anyone who might have a book on this, but no luck. Thought I would check with you guys to see if anyone had a good reference or a PDF I could access that might assist me. Kinda of a "Parts for Dummies" book.
