finding the age of my 16 ft S N

Good Morning y'all, I just purchased a 16 ft sea nymph, but cant seem to find any serial #. I do have an 1981 , 16 ft and the serial # is on a plate on the left side of the transom. This new boat ( to Me ) is an older model , maybe 5 years or so ?? Can anyone out there help me. ?? . Thanks in advance

hiwes welcome/my 16' is a 76 and the serial #s are stamped on the outside of the transom on the port side.how do u like yours? mine is bare bones boat with 3benches and a small cubby hole in the bow with a 25rude on it
