dansoph,

I believe CCrerw is describing face cord. A full cord, I believe is also 8 feet deep.

Re: fire wood

ok here it is. A full cord of wood is 4'X 4' X 8' if your talking fire wood ,it is sold by the face cord ($25,$35,$45 etc.)most of the time. and that would be a pile 4'high by 8' long by however long the blocks are cut. say 15",16",18",20" etc.

Re: fire wood

Excellent price. At least by Vancouver standards.
Especially considering that 2/3 rds are maple.

That is a decent price. Usually costs about $125/cord for split, delivered tamarack, birch, or red fir here. Costs more if they stack it for ya....

Re: fire wood

Good question. I will have to ask the guy I get the wood for my hottub how much a full chord would be. As it is he cuts trees and hauls the off for a living sells the hardwood and splits and burns a big pile of pine and such ever so often. He gives me all the pine I can carry but his wife says she has to have $5 because shesplit it. I fill my Ford Ranger which is a full stack in my homemade crib but I have no clue how much wood it is.

A 4X4X8 cord of oak firewood here will run you about $150 TO $200 split, hauled and stacked.
