Firefox 5.0 is released

Runs nice. Very quick. . Firefox 5.0 with Adblocker plus.

You guys that are pulling your hair out about the Ad's on here.

You should think about downloading it and throw EI 7 & 8 & 9 out.

I have not seen one ad since I began visiting the forums over a year ago, I am using FF 3.x.x with ad blocker installed, never been a problem for me.

It would have to be. Last version of Firefox I tried out was a dog. They had a good thing going for a while and then managed to make it bloated and slow. I'd consider it but there are a whole lot of websites that don't work with anything but IE (Business related stuff) - so I'll stick with IE9.

Easiest way to block ads is to just ad the main ad sites to your restricted sites list - then you don't ahve to deal with the overhead of ad blockers.

Which in the case of iboats would be (servicesiboats.com and google-analytics.com) Pretty much any of the google evil empire tracking stuff should be restricted

This was good advice for IE. Gets rid of all the ads including the chevy ad.

That chevy ad is the only reason that I wanted to block ads from iboats. Its too bad really because you do miss the specials that they run and display in the header bar, but that stupid chevy slide up ad was driving me nuts.

I agree. I wouldn't mind seeing the iboats ad as well. iBoats is shooting themselves in the foot with that Chevy ad if everyone puts some sort of blocking on because of it.

Ads ?? Ads ?? What ads; what Chevy ?? Firefox5.0 and AdBlock Plus work very well together. You might also consider Flashblock. Yes, there may be a little overhead associated with those two programs, but overall, the speed is better because you don't have to wait for the ads to load before you can read what you really came to see.
