Force 125 on a 1989 19ft Bayliner.
Bought this boat at end of last season. Previous owner took me out in it and it seemed to run fine. I am not a boat savy guy yet, working on that.
Took the boat out for the first time today. Started and ran fine for about 10 minutes. My brother (200 pounds), got on a tube and we did fine for 5 minutes or so, then all of a sudden the speed dropped off, but engine was still running, we slowed to a stand still, I push the throttle all the way forward, engine is running, but no forward thrust. I turn and look at engine and white spray is shooting out in two streams from the back of the engine. It looked like steam mixed with water. There was a hot smell, not smelled before this. I shut the engine off, and we wait a few minutes. Can't get it to start and we fortunately got towed back to the dock by another boater. Engine did start again, right before we put it on the trailer.
Ideas?
