A few years ago someone did answer that question, i can't remember who it was, but i believe that the member in question was a one time poster.

Link can be a hard worker when he wants to be! Just because he hasn't been around much lately is no reason for this personal attack!:D:p

Re: First Post

i would imagine Bruno was one of the first, since he also moderated the forum, before bring in the Ancient Mariner.

Re: First Post

Yup. I think it was Admin5 (Bruno).

I am member #1012. 12Footer, DHadley, Chinewalker and several others who still post occasionally were here before me.

A slew of threads/posts were lost in the infamous "Steve" incident several years back while updating software.

Admin5, June 29, 1998, 512 Posts
PeterJ, June 29, 1999, 18 Posts
Penn Yan Boats, August 18, 1999, 1 Post
Mike23, Oct 18, 1999, 1 Post

And the list goes on from there. There are several that joined between the above dates, but never posted. So I am going to assume that PeterJ and Admin5 were the first posters ... but then, you know what happens when you assume!

Re: First Post

But then again, I just went to their info and looked at their first posts ... PeterJ first posted on Feb 5th, 2000 on the pros and cons of chartering out your own sailboat.

Admin5 first posted on May 14, 2001 on how to get an inboard ready for the season ... so what appeared apparent, was not transparent, but rather opaque! Back to the drawing board on this one ...

Just to properly answer the question...... Noah was an early iboats guy..... something about crap in an Ark!! JB told him to change to a Whaler..... swamp it ans wash the crap over!!

Do you mean the guy that saved mankind and a bunch of animals by cutting down a bunch of trees and creating a very big desert ?
I reckon back then all of the environmentalists simply drowned.
For the life of me, i don't know why he allowed the PETA folks on board.

That doesn't work either. Suppose you try a link before you post it.
