Is the name of the boat "white knuckles"..

I use the blue gel stripper from HD or lowes; doesnt seem to make the fiberglass soft. I think its about 20 a gallon.

I'm a little concerned about using to many chemicals to remove the paint. what i've tried so far was just in a couple spots. I just bought a DA sandrer and a 12" block sander. I just keep thinking there has got to be a better way. I have redone cars and there's just so much chemicals can do.

Maybe sand blastin will work. Takes time but it removes what ever you want it to and it doesnt affect the under body.

Well if you have a decent air compressor and a cutoff grinder, should take you about a half hour. You can use the metal blades which probably makes the job less dusty; but all I had was the composite ones. Tyveck and respirators are a must for this type of destruction. I just followed the contour of the deck but left a lip about an inch of the walls for making a template at a later time.
