I worked on my 72 Loweline Bass Boat with a Merc 50 friday trying to get it started after sitting under the tarp for 6 months. Finally got it to start after choking it with the fuel wide open. Boy, did it smoke! I got to go to the lake Saturday. The motor didn't have any power and only would run up to 3100 RPM. I took the cover off today thinking that I may have to Degum the carbs and noticed that I had left one of the spark plug wires off Friday while working on it, duh!! Oh well. I thought I would pass this along to you guys. The stripe are going to be running next month in the Clinch and Powell rivers and I'm going to be there. See ya: Tom
