Never thought I would live to see the day to hold my first Grandbabe.<br /><br />Kaitlyn Elizabeth became part of my life tipping the scales at 8lbs.9oz(small gator) and measured 22in. I know its old shoe to most of you but this is my first..What a rush...I thought it was fitting to give her a Shamoo fishn pole to get things going...<br /><br />

A new "deck hand", excellent!<br /><br />When I first became a grandpa seven years ago at age 41. I put the smokes down, bought exercise equipment and went into training 3-4 nights a week and long back country hikes.<br />Grandma and I are in pretty good shape thanks to our grandson.<br />It's our goal to be there for him, for many years to come.<br /><br />Congrats gonfishn.

Congratulations! The first grandchild is a wonderful experience to be sure. I can tell you this from personal experience, it never seems to be 'old shoe'. I'm expecting my third grandchild in January, and I'm as excited as my daughter and her husband.

WOW! Thats wonderful Gonfishn, grandkids are the greatest. Our job as grand parents are to love and care for the grand babies as well as spoil them rotten. Oh, when they need changed? thats when they go back to mom and dad. Congradulations big time for a big gandpa! <br /><br />SS

And I would like to also extend congrats to the new grandpaw. Some reason I still can't get enough of the grandkids. All seven of them. 'Specially my new granddaughter. <br /><br />I think the fishin' rod was very appropriate for the occasion. Gonfishn', feel free to spoil in anyway you see fit.

Congradulations Muskie. It is like having a baby in the house and when the diaper gets dirty you give them back to mom and dad. You get the best part. To spoil them rotton and become their hero.
