First timer: Steering Question

I am tring to remove my steering cable from my 84 Rinker V170. I got everything loose, but can get it freed from the coller, back by the motor. I just dont have enough room to pull out the cable. Any advice would help.

Most of the time, there is not enough room to remove it without getting the motor loose and moving it some.
