It was 77 today in Northern Michigan and no one on the lake. I splashed my new to me 89 Ranger and to my shock EVERYTHING WORKED FINE. I can't believe it. Motor fired first time and ran nicely. We didn't catch any fish but I just can't believe everything worked. I'm waiting for it to blow up or something....

Congrats! Charlevoix is beautiful. My nephew and his wife live on Waloon (spelling ???) Lake. We're planning on dragging the boat up there this summer.

Now you've done it... :D

May the rest of your season be as uneventful as Day 1! ('cept for the fish part)

As of the day before yesterday our lakes are still frozen over about 100' from shore. A few more days like this though, and I'll have her in the water!

Good for you!

Mine's been like that for the 5 years I've owned it, my previous boat was the same way too. The one before that broke constantly. The difference? The first was purchased cheaply because it was poorly maintained and it showed. The next two were carefully selected "cream puffs" that showed tremendous pride in ownership by the previous owners. I learned my lesson, I'll gladly spend more for a "cream puff" now.
