Hi everyone.

I have a 07 Wellcraft Sportsman 18' and has approx 40hrs on it. Yesterday, water was flat calm and have been wanting to let her scream across the water. RPM 5200.. GPS speed 48.9mph.. Didnt hear any cavitation or hit any type of rev limeter.. A rooster tail maybe 6-10" high, (almost none). Should I trim her up some more? What is the optimall RPM range for the 115hp E-Tec?
Max RPM?

Ps... How did I wait sooo long to let her fly..Guess I dont like to beat too hard on my new toy. It was sooo much fun.

Bro in law has a new E-Tec 115 on a 24 Carolina Skiff it runs 45mph gps WFO. RPM's should be a little higher tho. Purchasing dealer worked with him on his prop to get RPM's in the 5500-6000 range. First prop tried had max RPM's @ 5200 and put a smaller pitch to get the RPM's up to 5800 WO. Actually gained 2 MPH with the smaller pitch.

the top rpm range is 6000 rpm on that engine. It is best to prop it close to 5600-5800 with full fuel or 5800-6000 with a very light load.
