Re: Fish finder images...

If your Transducer is on the Port side.... it could be. Could Be Keel Bubbles.
There is no indication in the photo of the scan width, so we can't tell for sure.

Post a picture of the entire transom of the boat. Side Scan is tricky to install.

The Black Line in the second Photo looks to be the Temperature graph.

The "Stuff" in the Third Photo could Be Weeds or Bait Balls.

Where are you Located. The "Northern Bay Area" doesn't mean much to someone not local.
I thought "North Bay, Canada" But with 38N on the GPS that was out. Tampa Bay, FL?
If you mean, Vallejo, CA, Say so! :D

Im near Santa Rosa, Ca. and was out in Napa.

If the black line is temp, what's the red line on the right of the side view? That's the side the motor would be on.

The gap between the motor and boat is 5 inches. I've been told the motor is 2-3 inches too low and the transducer is 1 inch too high. Guess that would be somewhere to start, but they all said "try it first"..so I did.

Now I Remember!
You should have just continued the other thread, two threads make this confusing.

The Red line to the right is probably the Drive.
It looks like it is about the correct distance away.

If it is Transom Bubbles, it will go away when you come to a Complete Stop!
If it is the Drive, tuning the Helm Full Left to Full Right while stopped, might make the line change or move somewhat.

The "SI Enhance > Contour Mode = ON" Menu (Page 72 of the Manual) will eliminate the Water Column from the Side Scan Views
and the Red Line will not be shown.

Other than the Line, the Right view looks pretty clean.
If you can live with it, Live with it. ;)
Otherwise you will need to move the transducer closer to the centerline to get a better view through the "Key Hole". :joyous:

[P.S. Just claiming San Francisco would be close enough for 99% of us.]

The transducer looks about an inch to high,....

And the cavitation plate on your motor should be even or slightly higher than the bottom of the boat,.........Which means the motor is to low,..............

Raise the motor and see if the line goes away.
