Can anyone tell me what type of fish finder this is? I know it's a Humminbird, but would like to figure out the model that would work with this base. It would have come stock as an option on a 1999 Four Winns Horizon 170 if that helps.

Eletronics don't have a great life span, forget about the old base and get something new.

I don't think those connectors match up to the current humminbirds.
Just to be clear, are you trying to buy a new one that will use your current wiring?

Probably trying to make the old epoxied into the hull transducer work with a new fish finder? The only reason i can think of to even try to plug a new finder into the old base.

Maybe, if the new one is compatible with the transducer, someone could splice it in to a new fish finder's wiring or Hummingbird might have an adapter.

Contact Hummingbird.

I just clipped the wires as close to the abandoned in place transducer in my hull and affixed the new transducer to the transom.

I'm not trying to fit a new unit into the old, just trying to figure out what model would be married to this base. I've emailed the manufacturer but haven't got an answer. I'm looking at eBay for a used display if I can get it cheap enough. I'd rather go this route first before trying to replace the in hull transducer.

Transducers wear out too, so just replacing the head unit may not give you much success, it will all probably fail before too long.

Free to $10.00 might be a good price for a unit that old. A friend of mine had one with the same mount, I think most of their models used it around that time.
