Fishfinder placement on an Intex Excursion 5

Hello. I have an Intex Excursion 5 with a Minn Kota Endura 30. I recently purchased a Hawkeye F33P Fishfinder. Any recommendations on where I should place the transducer? Should I just hang it over the left-middle or right-middle side of the boat or should I troll it a few feet behind the Endura 30? If I put it behind the trolling motor I am afraid I will get false readings because the transducer will be in the wake of the prop when the boat is moving. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Fasten it to the trolling motor housing.

I agree...put it on the motor housing but only use it when NOT trolling.
