So Khan aka makx and I went out today. Wind was 4mph and the water was flat. Amazing day just to be on the water. I purchased waders from amazon for around $35 and was the best decision ever was dry being waist deep in water starting my ob. my new anchor system is almost flawless all I need Is to glue a small pully on the boat so the rope does not rub against it. I mounted it using ties just to test it and it was awesome, I will look for a more permanent mount. My anchor held 2 boats togather so we would not drift Newly installed rod holders work great also fyi rod holders were made from PVC pipe from home depot. fished standing almost the whole time so the floor boards were great. My next mod is to build an attachment for my transom due to my ob being a 20" shaft and transom at 15" so will raise by 3-4 inches. This is my rig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm74_ZJh5vM

Awesome! I spent the last 4 days in Michigan fishing in the rivers. I would have been even more jealous if I didn't catch two 20+ pound salmons... They both escaped though. I had them on the hook for at least 5 minutes each and these monsters put quite a fight, broke my 50 lb line. Very nice. Got some fillets from my friends and am trying to find recipes because this freshwater salmon tastes nowhere near the pacific ones.

Anyway, I am looking to get out on water very soon. My motor idles fine now and I am anxious to test it and to do some more near shore fishing.
Also I want to play with hight adjustment of the motor as per Sea Riders thread. I must have it a bit low as there is some splashing at wot, nothing entering the boat from the transom, though.

Glad you posted this weimed! The 15 Yamaha looks great, find time and fix yours! The anchor reel is also nice. And you have so much room on this 11 footer... My 14' is a mess, here is a pic

yea. Kahn aka makx has a bad @$$ setup, GPS Bravo pump with battery, His Yamaha is flawless, Looks like he just bought it. His Breakdown time took me out by about 15 min (probably due to him having a Van, huge duffel bag for his boat instead of an original case that Zodiac provides). I give him credit though he has it down to a science. Damn boyan wish I could have joined you on your crazy crusade. hope you have videos and pics
