I live bait fish with braid a great deal but when snapper fishing wrecks I prefer mono with a long leader and smaller hook.

We recently switched to the "FINS" windtamer braided line and it is the tops....longer casts and no wind knots like with power pro. Love it.

Power Pro for #65 and over. Sufix Performance braid for #50 and under. Sufix Tritanium Plus mono for leaders and mono running lines

berkly big game mono or any quality mono. Fish R not any smarter then they were 30 years ago. It's not the line that catches fish, knowledge and know how R key factors to good fishing. Good advertisement is key to what a fisherman buys today.

Example: clear fluoro or pink fluoro. They r both invisable in the water but advertisement and the human brain click and a person buys the more expensive pink.

I'll have to disagree with you on this. The lines available today make the lines of even 10 years ago feel like I was fishing with barbed wire. You couldn?t pay me to use that old hard mono after using the some of the copolymers and braid available today.

I agree, the fish are no smarter but the new polymers and superline aviable today allow me to downsize and lighten up my tackle considerably over the past several years and I don?t have to fish a baitcaster spooled with a slinky like I used to.
