Fitting custom carpets ?

Just bought a replacement boat - Monterey 204 fs.
It comes with a set of custom carpets, but these have never been fitted, still in the bag ? so no ?snap in? fittings.
neither to the carpet or deck. Need to fit these
3 questions ...

# Where can I get the deck & carpet fixings .... in stainless steel?

# Do I need any special fitting tool to fit the female part to carpet?

I have replaced my snap in carpet myself... i did all the cutting and had it bound, then added my snaps. I would lay i out in the floor and see how the carpet is going to lay. Where you can give and take... just see where the best fit is. I would plan out where you want the snaps... they don't have to be in the absolute corners. And i actually prefer it not be in the corner... helps give it a little strength and easier to get your hand under to pull up the carpet. And if one ever pulls thru, you can move it easier. I like to make the holes in the carpet with a solder iron. Burns right thru and seals the carpet... so it won't fray. You do need a tool to press the snaps to the carpet. They make a $100 tool which works slick... and some in between... But a $3 small anvil type works too. I would say practice a couple on something that you don't care about. Keep the snaps lubed with some chapstik

Ayuh,... Carpets in particular,..?? Nope,... Snaps of all sorts,..?? Ayuh....

'n go for the nickle plated brass, over anything SSteel....

Why nickel over brass? This is going to rusty in Salt water environment.
