fitting merc prop to yamaha

Hello,
Wondering if it possible to use a Mercury fixed hub prop on a Yamaha F225 and if so what would I need.

If it won't fit now, you an have it rehubbed for your Yamaha in most ases. hek with the prop shop for ost.

I believe it fits the splines but can you use a merc thrust washer as the Yamaha washer does not work.

it will work if the prop hub and blade diameter are compatible with the gear case bore and adequate clearence between the anode and ventalation plate. but you must use the correct merc thrust washer and the lock tab with the yamaha prop nut. you may have to play with washer thickness between the nut and the merc lock tab to allow proper prop nut torque and still get the cotter pin in.
