Fitting new trailer to boat

Hello, my old trailer had finally given way to rust where the bunks are supported. Luckily, I have another trailer that can be used, and is long enough and can support the wirhgt of my boat. The difference of the two trailers is that the nbew trailer does not have as many bunks, but does have additional keel rollers. Is there a proper fitment rule that should be used, becasue currently my boat is in the water and not sure if I try and bring the boat onto the trailer, that it would be safe to then fit bunks etc, to properly ensure the boat is centered and weight is distributed properly.

Any help would be appreciated, as my boat is waiting in the water (salt).

Ayuh,..........

If you want to do That,......

Start with the Bunks adjusted Higher than you Think they need to be,.......
It's Easier to lower the adjustments, than to Raise them........

Most Keel Rollers I've seen are with a 5/8" axles,+ aren't meant to caring much of a Load.......
Keep it on the Bunks,...... Add more if you think it needs them........

agreed. i like to start high. then put a jacks under the bunk supports, loosen the nuts, and lower the bunk, to where you want it. it will take more than one adjustment to get them perfect.
