**EDIT: In my sleep deprived state I mistakenly posted my engine year as 2004, but it is 1994 instead. Sorry about the title typo. ***

Well, as many of you have read I have been battling an "Overheat Warning Tone" from my System Warning Horn since Saturday. I checked my engine high and low, and couldn't find anything wrong with the water pump, the thermostat, or any of the switches leading too the warning system. For the past 4 days I have been scratching my head, and dreaming about what's wrong with my boat. So, today I had the day off, and figured I would figure out what it was today and that would be the end of it.

I spent every hour on that boat pulling fuses, testing circuits, switches, and relays. After spending a total of 13 hours on it today, and still not coming up with a solution I was about to give up. It started to get dark so I thought I would give it one more try before going in the house. I turned the ignition switch to the 'On' position and the inevitable warning horn sounded again. I was about to give up when at that time I looked up, and I saw my Aerator light lit up on my forward deck. I turned that off, and much to my surprise ...... my problem was fixed. No more warning horn!!! ;)

Needless to say I am tickled to death, but sort of irritated that I didn't see something like that earlier in the game. I spent a total of $220 dollars on various manuals, wiring diagrams, and replacement parts. My real question lies in this ..... WHY does the aerator cause the warning horn to sound when it is on while the boat is in the pre-ignition phase, and why does it stay on while the engine is running? Does anyone have the answer to that?
