Fixing leaking fuel line

Quick question. I have noticed a leak in my fuel line when pumping the bulb. As soon as I build pressure it bubbles out fuel at the bulb and slowly loses pressure. Can I take off the factory hose clamp and use a plastic or metal hose clamp to fix the issue or is the line shot? It is losing pressure where the line overlaps at the tip of my finger.

Really don't have $40 to replace line if it doesn't need it.

While, you may be able to fix "this" problem. There is a chance that this leak is the first of many leaks in a line that doesn't hold the properties of rubber any longer. Fuel lines dry out, crack, and leak. If it were my boat, I'd replace it and enjoy my time on the water instead of constantly worrying about a fire on the water....Boat safe

JMO phiber i understand $$$ and agree with glust on safety but i would cut off about 1 or 2 inches of line reconnect it then if it develops another leak i would replace it. good luck
