I have a one inch flushmount for my 18 inch teak flagpole. It fits rather loosely, but I can tighten with some clear duct tape if necessary. What's a good way to secure it? It's inconvenient to access the drain hole underneath so that's not a good way. How about a safety lanyard? Perhaps a screw eye on the pole, a line from that to a snap that can grab something on the boat in case the flagpole comes out?
