Hey everyone, hoping someone can give me some insight here. I've got a 1992 Glastron with a 3.0LX Alpha One, boat for the most part is in great shape. I was putting on a new prop and changing the fuel filter the other day when I noticed the hose that runs from the PVC valve (top of the motor) to the flame arrestor on the carb was not connected. I shut the boat off and put the hose back on, but as soon as I started it back up, it popped off, there were no clamps or evidence of any clamps being attached to either end of the hose. Question being, #1 can I clamp the hose on (any risks of doing so), and 2 what would you recommend to keep it on the PVC valve? I did try clamping it on which was successful on the arrestor as it is barbed, but the PVC valve is wider on the bottom than top and not barbed. Thanks!

There should be no issue with clamping the hose on the PVC valve. Also check that the hose doesn't have something clogging it. Don't see a open hose popping off unless it has a restriction

Confirmed no restriction. What might be the problem is that its a pretty loose fit, the hose slides on and off without any pressure/effort either direction. Prior owner might have replaced with incorrect hose size. Going to reinstall with hose clamp on the PVC side as well. Thanks for the response/feedback.

I have experienced several coming loose, due mostly to vibrations and me cutting hose too short. Tie wraps well on them too!
