Like Cobra said, just cleaned. There is no "filter" in an arrestor - just fins to prevent a flame from escaping the carb and igniting any fumes in the engine/bilge. You don't need a filter on a boat because there is no "dirty/dusty" air out on the water.

Yes. If you have pressurised air, that's good to use too.

Make sure to give the arrestor a good cleaning with carb cleaner or brakekleen.Get it from both sides and blow the residue out with compressed air when you are done.Charlie

Take it off and clean it with carb/choke cleaner and let air dry or dry with compressed air.
