Flame Arrestor

I have a 2000 model year 7.4 liter Volvo Penta (that I love!) which is fuel injected. I am not able to remove the flame arrestor to inspect/clean due to lack of clearance. Is anyone familiar with my issue and can help me solve my removal proplem? Thanks.

On boats, ya gotta remove as much "Boat" as necessary to service the motor,....

Howdy

I'm thinking the exhaust is in the way. The cleaner needs to slide off the long studs and the exhaust is in the way. If this is the case then you have to remove the riser (elbow).
