Happy New Year!! One great thing about East Texas...it's Jan. 1 and 68 degrees!! I got to take my boat out today wearing a t-shirt! Anyway, my 1975 Evinrude 115 has always been hard to start the first time. After it finally would fire and run, it would kick every time I hit the key after that--until the next day. Today I went through the usual routine, but had the back bay open where I could reach the fuel tank and primer bulb. What normally would happen is I would prime it until it was firm, then try to start it. It would try to fire, but acted like it was flooding, and it would die. Then it would take forever to start. Today, though, after I fired it that first time, for some reason I reached back to check the bulb and it was flat. I pumped it back up and the motor started on the third try. Would that mean I need to replace the primer bulb? I have a pretty good list of things to do in the next few weeks, and I'd like to tackle that problem as well. thanx
