Does anyone the flat rate time to change the impeller on the newset style mercruiser engine-mounted raw-water pump? Its the one that bolts up from the backside, which makes it a real pain to get at a few of those bolts. And I mean the actual time that Mercury says it takes in their flat rate manual. If anyone knows I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks.

Don, Bond-o or A-Chris can maybe get that info. That's dealer only thru mercnet. It's there just have to find it.
Whatever it is, it ain't enough!
Your best off taking the pump off the bracket after you move the fuel pump module. 3 screws each, 3 on pump mod & 3 on the pump bracket.
Just curious, are asking befor or after doing the job?

We will also need to know what the engine serial number is that you're working on? Is it a merc 496? If so, then it's one hour & major repair is two hours.:)

Flat rate doesn't really mean anything. It may show 1 hour time to change the impeller, but that is with the engine out of the boat.
Mercruiser has no way of knowing what type boat their engine will be in, or what the access will be to that pump.
I had a couple of them that had to have the engine pulled out of the boat to even get to the pump to replace the impeller.
