Re: Flex seal!

Only needs a perfectly clean surface to adhere to. Will hold as good as the dirt you apply it to.

It's the same as Plasti-Dip and other products, only 3x the price of those. The box stores carry assorted brands for about $6 a can.

I wonder how many cans they used on the door? and can only imagine someone getting overspray all over something they did'nt want coated w the black, sticky stuff. Reminds me of a time my brother got a "deal" on a 16'/48 jonboat. He coated the entire leaky bottom w mobilehome roofing sealer. It worked great! no more leaks........however the boat was alot heavyer w the thick layer of unsmooth coating and sat deeper in the water, the extra weight made it harder to get to and from the water, carring it down and up the bank from the bed of the truck he hauled it w. He soon sold it to a guy who parked it on the shore of his pond out back.

Looks can be deceiving, nothing is as good as duct tape. You must be from the city, and wear a suit. LOL :D

Roscoe, I said "almost." LOL I know better. Nothing in the world can do a better job on any repair/project than duct tape.

And I don't even own a suit!! Don't live in the city either, although I do live a little to close for my taste! LOL

 You guys are in way over your heads. Duck Tape, purveyor of many fine products, including duct tape, makes an outstanding repair tape. However, as many of our veterans will tell you, it can't compare to Gorilla Tape.:p As for Flexseal, I've never tried it. I have, however, applied three cans of PlastiDip (original black) to the floor of my 1990-something river raft with great results. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=519776

Duct tape is for temporary emergency repairs, and when you may need to remove it later. Gorilla tape is for permanent fixes! and whats up w the price? Is it made from real Gorillas?:D

In regards to using duct tape, or having a suit. It is possible to have your cake and eat it too.

Re: Flex seal!

I heard Flex Seal was just Hair in a Can, w/o the hair:D. I'm not gonna buy any. But I am interested in the FANTASTIC automobile computer diagnostic thingy I've seen on other TV adds. It's just like the ones the pros use, but I can use my own and It can save me $1000s by having me find out what's wrong, and telling the mechanic how to fix my autos!;) pays for itself the first time you use it!
