Well it took me about 2 hours to get my boat in this position.
Now what?
I have a wench at the shop I will bring home Monday to lower the hull down. The ratchet straps worked to get it up but no down.
Found lots of spider cracks in the gel coat and lots of blistering in the paint. Seems to sand off O.K. but lots of work.

I like to bring a wench home from work now and then too... mostly mine don't help with the boat though :)

PS: It's late here and I'm a bit punchy :)

Re: Flipping Over

Well it is over. Flipped.
Once I got past the thought of a lag pulling out of the ceiling this was pretty easy.
I took the weight off with 2" wide straps. Then rotated the hull in the straps. The hull was hard to slide in the straps. This took some pulling to get it to roll.
Now the hard work, prep and paint the bottom. The boat must have been on the trailer for years. The rollers dented the hull in a few places. I plan on changing the rolls to carpet covered bunks.
Any way to tell if this paint is anti-fouling? I wear a mask but this stuff gets everywhere.
