Flo-torque hub--as good as rubber, or harmful to shaft?

My local marina carries only Flo-torque modular props with the hard plastic hub. I've been using a prop with a rubber sleeved hub, but the local lake is very rocky and I tore up the original prop. Now I"m wondering whether the Flo-torque is a good idea, since it doesn't have much give to it. Is it more likely to damage the lower unit if I bottom out?

Thanks

oboy here we go. in every case ive seen so far wether flow or rubber hub not one of the hubs has spun to save the prop!ive hit a log with my vortex and what it did was bend the blades ,thats all.this could be a huge post for or againt flow torque hubs, but the fact is in a year or two thats all there will be im sure.
