Floor and stringer replacement

Just bought a 1992 Celebrity 180 bow rider. Needs new floor and stringers. I spent the weekend cleaning the rotten wood out of the fibreglass tabs on the hull. Am l able to slide the new stingers into these existing tabs and fibreglass or glue them into place.

I don't see any tabs :D

Generally speaking, you will want to remove most of the tabbing and get to the base of the hull surface. Some folks leave a little bit of the tab on the hull, so they have an outline of the prior stringer system.

Post some pictures, so we can see what you are seeing.

Ted thanks for your response. Will take some pictures and up load. Yes leaving part of the tabbing in place will definitely help with the out line if the stringers, what do you suggest to secure them to the hull inside the tab that’s left
