I have a 16ft pontoon that I have been milking along the last few years . It's time to over haul the boat . The floor is pretty solid as it was already replaced once . It is curls on the edges and the front is week and starting to delaminate. I am ripping up the floor ling to lay new vinyl floor. If I can do so cheaply, I would like to replace the floor. Or at the minimum, the front section. Then new vinyl flooring and then new seats and new paint on the railings.

I I plan on unloading the boat next year for a bigger pontoon as we have already out grown this one. But I want to fox it up this year and use it and then try to recoup my money selling it.

I didn't budget for a new deck on the boat. I can swing some cheaper stuff but don't want to do something that won't last or hurt the boat.

I can't get cca treated wood here. I can get acq treated or marine grade untreated . I can get cca threated online but it's expensive. About $450 all said and done.

I was thinking about using acq ply and marking where they contact the frame and paint the areas with 2 part epoxy. Then paint the pontoons with truck liner. That use strips of epdm rubber the isolated the play from the pontoons.

Or I could get cdx and encapsulate the boards in 2 part epoxy.

I'm looking for something that will last 10 years not 50. But I would like to see it last 10 years. I don't want to sell a problem boat to someone.

Well. I have good news . I just needed to look at the boat! I have galvanized cross supports. The flooring doesn't come in contact with any aluminum . Time to get some treated bolted down and baking in the sun .
