Pay attention to the media when you get a chance.<br /><br />They INSIST that the flu shot doesn't make you sick!<br />Go figure...<br /><br />To those who got the flu, did it start with a nasty headache? I've had a doozie for the last 2 days. Nothing seems to get rid of it, other than my arthritis meds (heavy duty..no-cares-in-the-world type )<br /><br />H.

Started with the worst headache I have ever had that wasn't alcohol induced.<br />

I have 3 little boys and really did not want to buy into all the panic, but also I didn't want anything bad to happen just because of the way I feel. I debated all week and today we went and stood in line for 3 hours. They had 1000 shots left and we were 488-490. You just never know.... It cost 48.00 If by any chance something bad would happen I could not live with myself just to save 48.00. I know it wont work for the bad stuff going around,I feel used I fell for the Hype but it really is a very small price to pay.

I've gotten the shot the last 2 years (heck, they offer it through work and they pay for most of it and I don't have to go anywhere). I've never gotten sick by the shot or had the flu after receiveing it. Of course, I can't remember having the flu w/out taking it either, but it made my wife happy.<br /><br />I never got the sweats the night of it, but it did feel like someone gave me a charlie-horse where they pricked me!

my legs are so incredibly swollen, and my doctor called my DAD instead of ME, despite having MY number - and of course the doc didnt think to call me after calling dad<br /><br />guess he figured if there was someone in the family in trouble, it would be him<br /><br />I feel like hell, im barely drinking or eating, and the swelling is persisting, this really sucks<br /><br />just take the **** pills and stay off the leg, CHRISTMAS TIME and stay off the leg, are they NUTS?<br /><br />::grumble:: lousy quacks<br /><br />

It figures, I felt fine when this was posted, and now I'm down with the stuff. The schools here closed the last couple of days because so many have the flu. I stayed home Friday, and then my wife came home before noon. My son had it earlier this past week. I'm just glad thats all he picked up from his girl friend. BTW she got the shot. <br /><br />SS

The bug doing the most damage is one thats not covered by The Shot, they try to figure out the most likely strain to bloom, and innoculate on that premise ...<br /><br />whoops, half the dammed country in a sickbed, sure f**ked that one up!<br /><br />

I got one during the many trips to the docs in recent weeks - long before the flu made the news. The doc had tons of it.... I feel guilty now that it is in short supply. I much prefer it had gone to somebody in the high risk groups....
