Flushing Additive??

I have had my boat in the salt water for about a week 1/2 and just pulled it out (trailer was being repaired). Other than regular flushing, is there an additive that can be added to ensure a better motor flush. Any suggestions?

I use Salt-Away. Usually get it at Boaters' World.

The anodes are the most important thing; corrosion is a bigger problem than the salt itself.

Thanks a million ezeeke. Do you use Salt-Away after each use?

Don't know about anyone else, but I do...run it on flush first until hot (stats open), then switch to soap and shut off when it starts to lose the blue color. In fact I'm going to town Tuesday for another gallon..doubles or more the years I get out my manifolds on my 350 I/0, and the outboards get it too after a good fresh water flush when they get yanked out of the salty corrosive water

Yep, just the hassle and money for new Man's worth the buck it costs to flush EVERY time if fresh water within reach! (heck I go boat camping with friends in other boats at a tie up or state park, and I dream off the salt water doing its thing over night!)..:D
