My boat is always been out of water, I am trailering to the keys and staying at a house on the atlantic. The boat will be in the water for a week.I have always flushed right after using, what do people do when boats stay in salt a few days.
I guess my question is, will it really effect my motor or is a few days nothing to worry about?

Re: Flushing the motor

Hi if I'm moored in salt for any length of time I keep the leg in the water rather than tilt, that way you reduce oxidation and build up of salt deposits. My boat is alloy so I disconnect the battery as well to limit any galvanic corrosion that might occur on the hull.

Just give it a good clean and flush when you get home.
