Flyer for Ziggy.

I am putting this on here for ziggy to see, I wasn't able to put it on Private message for him, so I put it here, If this thread gets removed I understand, I am not trying to advertize, Ziggy asked about the flyers I get out and wanted to show him what it looks like, Hope I am not doing anything wrong, if I am, I apologize to Iboats and its members ahead of time. Private messages only lets you give a URL, Would be cool if we could send pics to each other using the Private message.

so where do you distribute these at.

i guess if i did something like this i would have to target auto, biz, and home. this seems overwhelming to me...

i probably don't belong in a biz. i dislike doing advertising. i just want folks to call me up and i'll go take care of their problem. mostly i've operated this way since 95' when i quit my last real job. using the yellow pages ads. which i don't like either, but the plan has worked in the past. not now a days though. it seems with this new style economy my plan may not be the best idea. i understand, advertising is a very necessary thing to do. so important that i believe the short story i've heard. about any tradesman.

he/she can be the best tradesman there ever was at his/hers trade and fail if they don't market themselves proper. on the other hand. a person could be pretty poor at what they do and do great in biz because they know how to market themselves..

Ziggy, keep in mind, in today's market, networking can be your best advertising. Picking on Pat for a moment.. He can approach a landscaping company and give them kickbacks for any business they send his way, as they will always be the first to spot dead wood. In exchange for 'helping' the customer find him they get, say, 10% of what he charges for that job. A two-way kickback system can be created for any landscaping work Pat sends their way. Most people would rather hire someone known to someone they know. I hate having to blindly pick up the phonebook and cold call what could possibly be the worst guy in town.

You do this with a few different companies and you can soon see yourself in a circle of business where each company refers only companies within that circle, ensuring ongoing work for all with no advertising (or ad budget) at all. win-win
