I just put a stereo in my 2010 FM165, and was curious on how others had done this. Here are a few pics of mine.

Re: FM165 Stereo

It looks like the same radio I added. I put 4 speakers installed them low and all facing into the boat. It can be plenty load enough to hear over the engine but with speakers low and facing in it doesn't bother the neighbors. I can hear the engine spark in it. I ordered a power filter for $20. I hope it works the resistive spark plugs are expensive. Also added a boat ladder and swim platform. This was wifes idea for tubing but it is a good saftey feature, if someone fell over into cold water while fishing. I put in an hour meter. Steel rear poles on the bimini. Wifes idea also but worked out really well to keep it up and out of the way. 4 drift master rod holders, I like them a lot. I also put in an hour meter. It has 27 hours on it. I took the engin into Cabellas for check up and they said I had 37 hours on it. They must be counting the time my wife is in the boat listening to the radio with ignition on without the motor running.

Re: FM165 Stereo

I just installed a power filter. $24.00 and I no longer hear sparks plugs firing. Sounds good. Much better, and cheaper in the long run than using resistive or inductive spark plugs.
