foam filled toons

Hi all,
I bought a 20' Playcraft deluxe pontoon and it is really nice.really like the layout of the boat,what i'm wondering is that on rear of pontoons it says
foam filled. Is this just something most brands do or just a little higher end
boat? It is the way it came new so just wanting input on this please.

They are probably U tubes yes.

That is a coast gaurd requirement on U tubes, or used to be so that is why they do it.

Something with the way a U tube is clasified, round tunes are different and don't need to be filled.
