What kind of foam should i use to replace the foam that i ripped out of below my deck. Not all of it was wet can i just re-use those sections? The non-wet pieces i Kept were pretty large sections. I dont want to just buy a **** load of the great stuff cans and spray that in there do I? Someone told me that there is a 2 part foam that you can mix and pour into a hole that you cut into the deck and let the foam expand and hold everything tight. Whats the best stuff to use and the best method of application. Im wondering if home-depo or somewhere has something like this. I know lowes only has the stuff in the can. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Foam question???

google foam floation, or search the forum, i like to use 2part before the deck goes in, the can stuff won't hold up.

Re: Foam question???

I purchased 4lb 2part pourable foam from uscomposites.com. I don't know about reusing it, but I know the great stuff probably won't do you any good. Look at that skankybeast project on here, he poured it in after the deck was in, though contrary to tashasdaddy says. I really don't know what is better, before or after deck, after deck sounds better to me cause it fills up them voids and acts as more structural supports to the hull. good luck to ya, looks like you've been working hard on it! remember to take your time and ask lots of questions before you do anything, that way you will only have to do it once.

Re: Foam question???

Hi I was told to do it after the floor as in .I am doing the samething, I just cut out my last stringer today and when I was going to do the floor i was going to drill some one inch holes in the floor, pour , then add a second floor. The link above has the best price i have found yet, there is a place in cal, that is selling it on ebay for 120 dallors , for 4 gals, but the shipping is 52 dallors, so i guess this is your best bet!!! Re: Foam question???

I bought it from my local plastics supplier, cut small holes in the floor, mixed the two parts together and poured it in. It also adds to the structure of the boat and floor.

Have a great day,

Rob.

Someone said that they got 4 pounds ammount, which density did you get and how much did that do for you? Guess its kinda hard for you to say how much it did but just curious.
